I'm 12 And I'm Almost 8 Stone! People Say Healthy Weight Is 6st For My Age?! What Should I Eat, Very Little?!?

396545382 I think I'm overweight + obese for my age! I need diet ideas? Will one meal a day work? What should I do?! Help!!! No silly answers please, serious answers only!

CokeZero; Thanks that helped alot!!!, and I'll try a banana and milk in the mornings and not to eat after 8pm! Yes, I do go to the kitchen when I'm bored and I'm also the biggest out of my friends! All my friends that are skinnier have fast food in front of me also that tempts me lots! But I will use your advice, thanks!

    there's lot of ways to loose weight over time that is really healthy and wont make you look all dry and stuff (nastyy)

    Like everyone in the world says have smaller portions, exercise more and avoid fatty food like burgers and you'll soon loose the weight...which is actually mass

  4. zeimusu - Unless you mention your height, no body can discuss body weight sensibly. However, unless you are exceptionally short you are not obese. So eat normally: three healthy meals a day, and keep an eye on the snacking.

CokeZerooo! - if you're very worried just try cutting down on the fatty and not wanted food. if you get bored alot you probably go to kitchen and just wonder around looking for food? that's what i do, so try and pull yourself away when you go looking for food. when you have dinner, i've always been told that its healthy to know when you're full so when you get that full, bloated sort of pop belly feel stop eating whether you have a carrot left or nearly a whole plate because you'll stretch your stomach meaning you will need to eat more to fill it. unless you have that hunger feeling, there's no need to eat dinner straight away, tell your mum or dad that you aren't hungry and to just leave it on the side and you'll eat it later (when you feel hungry) or, even asking for small portions are fine. and i wont lie, if you ate one meal a day you'll probably lose weight faster than a normall person would eating 3 meals a day but you'll become ill, loose concerntration in lessons, because you aren't getting all the nutrients you need for your brain to function properly meaing your brain is being deprived of its foods to work and also your body, your body will become weak and you'll be extremely tired. you need to have 3 meals a day. make sure, before school you have something. i have a banana and a glass of milk. -bananas are filling and healthy and a glass of milk is calcium for my bones and teeth as i used to have cereal with milk but i dont anymore so i need to get some sort of calcium. for lunch i usuall have just a packed lunch but really not nessecary unless i'm starving, i go to the cantein and get a little something. otherwise i'd just have a small snack when i get in. make sure you don't eat after 8 a clock otherwise your food isn't digested properly. and as i said, for dinner make sure you recognise if you need it and if youre full. and no, for you're age being 8 stone is not obese or over weight. some of it could be muscle, and depending on your height that could be a perfect and healthy weight. most people aren't the healthy and average weight. curvy girls are always the best! i just turned 14 at the end of july and i'm just over 8 stone. i go running sometimes round my block and im starting the gym when i go back to school in september as i know myself i could lose a bit on my legs and stomach. make sure you don't over eat and don't let anybody tell you you are fat or over weight. be confident and keep to a healthy life style! also, when i'm hungry get a large glass of water and down it! untill those hunger feelings go away if i know i've had a sefficient amount of food or maybe even more than i should've and if they aren't gone i just get some more water. but you musn't do this if you havn't had your three meals, as if you were to cut down now you wouldn't be having as much food as you wuold've been so cutting down even more would be risky. so have your three meals, theres no need for snacking unless its vital, but stick to the three meal a day thing and don't starve yourself! do a bit of jogging if you feel you need to, but after saying all of that you are DEF not over weight. i just gave you advice as i know myself, as i know i'm the biggest out my friends and i am self consious of my body. so yeah i know how it feels even if i am not over weight GIRL TO GIRL! i hope this is some advice and you're perfect the way you are, do not worry about anything x
