I'm having some trouble understanding external beam treatment of cancers...I need some clarification...am I correct?
The lower the energy of the x rays used for EBT, the deeper the maximum of the depth/dose curve.
I can't work out wether it is lower/higher energy of x rays!

The Tank - High energy penertrates deeper. But it's not really x-rays that are used for radiotherapy cancer treatment, it's a different frequency to them.
ReplyDeleteYou may get some warming of the skin surface, but not much, and if you're very sensitive then you may get a sort of temporary sun tan affect. The therapists will explain all that for you.
