You people aren't getting what I'm saying. I know fat people can die, I'm not stupid. I just thought they'd be able to last longer than someone already underweight because their body has alot of fat they can use for energy.

Would A Fat Person Die If They Starved Themself? 10 Points?

Ryan Thomas - yes, they would actually die faster than a normal healthy person because the fat person would need more calories
ReplyDeletefred - Yes, just because their fat they still need daily food to live.
ReplyDeleteMo - No, by all means go ahead........
ReplyDeleteDreamer - Duh.
ReplyDeleteAusha Gomez - Yes, and you would lose way too much body fat. You can only go so long before the body starts to shut down from malnourishment. Don't starve yourself because it can cause damage to your body. If you really want to lose weight do it the healthy way, and eat right/ stay active.
ReplyDeleteKatie - Fat isn't energy..I don't know where in the hell you pulled that from. If fat was energy, wouldn't you think there would be no fat people..dumbass
ReplyDeleteSara - If a fat person starves themselves they will lose weight just as you said.
ReplyDeleteBut during this time their bodies metabolism will slow down and enter starvation mode, and try to hang on every little bit of food that it gets.
In other words, as soon as they resume eating their body would throw all the food into fat storage instead of using it towards energy and burning it like normal, thus they'd gain all the weight back. Maybe more, because people tend to eat a lot of junk food when they go off diets because they think that they are in the clear.
By the way... it took a long time to get yourself fat. It didn't happen over night. Likewise, you aren't going to be skinny overnight either. Not even in a week, or a month, or 6 months. It takes hard work.
Angel Designer - As soon as their body stopped receiving proteins, carbohydrates, water and nutrients, it would begin shutting down. It would first use the fat, but it would be in a preservation mode and burn fewer calories. A human body can go three days without water, but we know that some can go 40 days without food.
ReplyDeleteIt is killing their body though.
.
The - Yeah, they'd last longer than someone with little body weight (assuming they actually drank water and didn't die of dehydration first) because their body would burn off the fat, like you said.
