  1. Janella - no- braces are to straighten.

  2. ? - Your teeth are the length they are, and there is no way to make them longer. Perhaps he can shave the longer one down to make it shorter to match the other?

  3. too.muchtv - No, but it can make them appear longer. I had a snaggle tooth because it was so crooked, my orthodontist even had it in his plan to saw some of it off. Now that it's mostly straight, there's no need, it's even.

  4. Abb_ - simply no .... braces are just used to move teeth .... but when it come to lengths there is something called ''gum contouring'' it is used to reshape the gum around the teeth to give them the proper length .... just google ''gum contouring'' and see if this can help you but i am sure it will , just ask your orthodontist about it .

  5. Hez - Yes, don't worry they CAN alter the length of your centrals.
I see this on a daily basis, these people don't know what they are talking about.

  7. NicoleH - no, unless that tooth needs to be pulled down.
after you get your braces off i would ask if your ortho can shave down the other tooth so it will match the shorter one, or at least closely match it.
