Cyn - when mine hurt, I always brush my teeth first, and then use mouthwash. I let the mouthwash sit on the tooth for a minute, the alcohol in the mouthwash helps numb the pain.
If that doesn't do it, I take some advil or tylenol or aleve and use orajel on the tooth.
Sometimes the source of the pain is an infection within the tooth and the only way to get rid of it is with antibiotics.
Jessica De vinci - You can do warm saline rinses for some relief. make sure that there are no food accumulates present in that area as it can aggravate the pain.You can take some pain meds and antibiotics to reduce the infection in that area after consulting your dentist. You can also apply oragel for some pain relief. Ge the tooth pulled out asap. Palindromic - Rinse with a mix of water and peroxide.
ReplyDeleteAthena LaPalma - Ibuprofen will help with the swelling and inflammation. Rub clove oil on the area, it tastes bad though.
