I bought a home glucose reader thing and did it when I woke up and it was 86 and 2 hours after I ate it was 101. I been having symptoms of diabetes is there any way the test thing is wrong or do I have something else

Rick - Your numbers are fine. If you're concerned, go see your Dr. They'll do a blood work-up on you, and a urinalysis to check for ketones. Most likely you don't have diabetes, but the Dr's exam can reassure you.

See your doctor if you have other symptoms.

polyphagia - excessive hunger
polyuria - excessive urination
polydipsia - excessive thirst
Signs of hyperglycemia:
warm dry skin
dry mouth
thirsty
Signs of hypoglycemia:
cold clammy and sweaty skin
pallor
shakiness
dizziness
difficulty concentrating
fast pulse
Get an Hb1Ac done to have an accurate reading for the last 3 months.
