Tips For Beating The Coffee/soda/caffeine Addiction?

396545382 I've been drinking 2-3 cups of coffee every morning and drink a lot of diet soda. I really want to kick it-but even one day w/o it I get headaches and feel like I'm in a haze. Is it best to cut one out at a time and gradually phase it out?

  1. Mandy - nope you gotta cut them out all at once it will be a rough week or so until your body adjusts to no caffeine but you will feel better in the long run

TeAsE - i drink that much coffee but i work at wawa haha. i finally got fed up with it and saw the doctor because i got migranes if i didnt drink coffee... what they will do is give you a pill that if you drink it it will make you feel sick. then after doing the treatment.. then make coffee a treat do it once ever weekend. =] its worked great for me

  3. Ashley Field - well its hard but i just cut it out all at once and after u last so long and u have one the fizzyness of the fizzy drink leaves u bloated but i dnt no about coffee

  4. Workin' Gal - Usually ppl crave caffeine because they're tired. Get more sleep or if you're having issues sleeping or you don't feel rested, see your doctor. You could have sleep apnea etc. Don't change your sleep schedule on the weekends so you're body doesnt have to re-adjust for Monday. get into a bedtime routine. Get ready for bed an hour before you want to be asleep because it takes 15 minutes to fall asleep and that's uninterrupted 15 minutes of complete darkness and you should be comfortable too.

    Coffee produces adrenaline so that's why it's addictive. Try replacing the adrenaline with a workout in the morning.

  5. Marie-rose Thompson - Maybe cut down a bit like a smoker giving up, start with you're normal amount of coffee/soda and then the next day cut it down if you pass this matter then you'll never wanna see a coffee or soda again. and things you can drink is

    Milk
    Diluted Orange
    Orange Juice
    Apple Juice
    Water.

  9. Boo you - Diet soda is so unhealthy. Regular soda is a lot better for you, believe it or not.
