Can the hospital lab test for the Amaryl (or any drugs that will lower the sugar lelve) when they analyze for the OGTT?
I heard a patient took a bit of Amaryl before the test and try to pass OGTT (under 200); that is really stupid to cheat on his own body (health).
Will the OGTT blood test result contain drug screening?
Thanks,
Emilyboo - im not sure if they can test for drugs, but i would tell them
ReplyDeletemicksmixxx - When an OGTT (Oral Glucose Tolerance Test) is performed, they WON'T be testing for drugs.
ReplyDeleteTrying to reduce one's blood sugar (glucose) level is beating no-one. As you seem to be intimating, it is rather a stupid thing to be doing. They could be lining themself up for the development of all sorts of diabetic complications by doing this.
