Root Canal Needed, But I Don't Have Insurance. Should I See A Dentist Or An Endodontist First?

396545381 I went over a year ago to a dentist and was told I need a root canal for a front tooth broken from a bicycle accident. I didn't have the money for it then, but I do now. I was thinking about calling the dentists office I initially went to a year ago to see about transferring my info/x-ray's, but it's been a while. Not sure if I should see another dentist now, or if I should just try and set up an appointment with an endodontist since I know that I need a root canal regardless.I don't have insurance, and I'm trying to save money, but I really need to do this. Any help is greatly, greatly appreciated.

    Jareth's Trousers - I would call and ask if they think another x-ray is needed. If they say yes, you can always see if there is anywhere that does dental for a lower cost. See if there are any dental schools in your area. They work on people at a discounted rate.

    mike - I won't advise anyone to proceed with root canal.

    I regret listening to my dentist. My dentist told me to have root canal on one of my teeth.

    When they perform root canal, your teeth dies. It changes color from white to dark because it's dead
    already.
