  1. Gracinda - No.
It's when the blood clots travel from the legs ->lungs that they become dangerous. That's called a pulmonary emboli (PE)
People can and do die from pulmonary emboli, although it is not as common as you would think.

  2. Pete Wentz - Any thrombus (blood clot) in your vasculature is dangerous since they can dislodge and cause life threatening occurrences. See your doctor asap since there are treatment options available without surgery in most cases and the clot is guaranteed to cause irreverseable damage and commonly death.

  3. Nana Lamb - Blood clots are always dangerous. They break up and travel through the blood vessels to the heart and lungs then kill.

  4. Donna B. - It is impossible for a blood clot to travel from your legs and end up in your stomach. Once a blood clot dislodges from your legs it can travel to your lungs but never to your stomach.

  5. Dr.Qutub - Yes, it is very dangerous, if it lodges in the mesentric artery or any part of it, you can get acute inflammation or gangrene of intestines. If you are having nausea or abdomen pain, report to ER.
Anyway, you still need Emergency Care, and investigation/s, so that the clot can be removed or dissolved as soon as possible.
This dislodged clot can disseminate, to lungs, brain, anywhere at its free will and very rarely in stomach. It is more common in females who are on hormones/birth control pills. In both it can occur after a myocardial infarction too.
    Call an ambulance OK.
    Thank you.
