  1. Ben - an allergic reaction is the body over reacting to a stimulus. For example, if some one is allergic to pollen in the air, the body will produce an excess amount of mucus, cause watery eyes, and induce sneezing to rid itself of pollen

  2. Aryan@babak - There are two different types of allergic reaction.
    # The rapid allergic reaction
There are normally in the body, certain proteins called anklebone in various ways are used in the defense mechanism. One type is anklebone IgE (Immunoglobulin E) and present in small amounts circulating in the blood. For allergy IgE reacts through a complicated interaction with another body's own cells called mast cells, which include found in various tissues such as, contain histamine. If a person comes into repeated contact with an allergenic substance, called allergens, which increases the concentration of IgE in the blood that is directed precisely against this allergen. These IgE attaches itself to the surface of mast cells. Yet the person has absolutely no symptoms, but he / she is becoming allergic (hypersensitivity). The next time he / she is exposed to the same allergen and allergen reaches the Igel that is implanted on the mast cell surface, it starts an explosive discharge of the cell content (histamine) out allergic reaction triggers that are spread in tissues outside and inside the blood stream. An allergic reaction is now a fact. The affected person develops symptoms and become ill. Symptoms vary depending on where the allergic reaction occurs. The disease itself is further described by the organs of the body affected.

    # The delayed allergic reaction.
This is such allergic reactions in the skin. Such as eczema. Allergen is here mostly metals, for example. nickel and chromium, which when prolonged contact can penetrate skin and cause skin hypersensitivity. This form of allergy is not Igel mediated. The delayed allergic reaction is also called contact allergy
