What If A Teen Or Kid/young Person Has A Broken Tooth?

396545381 For example, a kid got hurt & his tooth broke at the gums. Or he didnt take care of his mouth, or for any reason his tooth broke. What can a dentist do? What if he has 3 or 4 broken/missig teeth? If you could include costs and whatnot (just ballpark range, I know it differs)

Im really curious because one friend says they cant do anything, one guy says dentures but I dont believe a 15yr old would ever get dentures no matter how many are broken.

  1. chris_12306 - They have dental implants available. I have two implants on my top right near the eye tooth due to a car accident. 3/4 missing teeth if you went the implant way would cost anywhere from $1,000 to $5,000 per tooth.. You can get dentures, as that is relatively an inexpensive alternative compared to the cost of the implants. Some insurances do cover some services. Good luck with your smile.

  2. Jessica De vinci - If it is the baby teeth, then crowns are given for the broken tooth and in case of adult teeth, it is seen that how much crown is broken. If there is vertical crack line on the tooth or there is fracture line on the cervical portion of the root, then tooth may have to be removed and flippers or bridges are given to the patient. Implants can't be given before 17 years of age. If teeth are broken, then composite bonding, root canal treatment with crown or post and core with crown is done for the patient to save the tooth depending on the extent of damage. Cost of implants would be around $3000 and bridge would be $600-$900 per tooth for PFM crown.
