  1. hello there ❤ - if you think there is a chance you get your butt and your mouth into the doctor right now! no fooling around, no second guessing, turn the computer off and move! bruishing won't do it!
that is the only place you will find the proper answers sweetie so please don't listen to us yahoos, go get yourself looked at. if its not you - then drag whoever it is to the doc right away!
come back and let us know how you are. good luck.

  2. Denisedds - You cannot brush cancer away.
You can get cancer without smoking so how can stopping cure cancer?
You can go to the doctor yourself but if you use your parents insurance they will know about it and you will need money for your copayment.

  3. Sharon - No, once the cells become cancerous it is too late. Symptoms of mouth cancer do not mean someone has cancer. They must be tested.

At 17 you are able to visit a dentist by yourself, but unless you are an emancipated minor, you are still considered a juvenile in most states. You cannot enter into a contract and must have your parent/guardian sign for any medical treatment until you turn 18. I am sure you are not paying for your own insurance unless you are getting it through your employer, but you still must get permission for medical treatment.

    Good luck

  4. Sarah - no, it won't agitate, but once you have cancer, you need to get it removed other wise it will spread out

  5. Dr Frank - If you really did have oral cancer, which at 17 is remote in the extreme, neither stopping smoking nor brushing would have any effect on it.

  6. Gary B - No. There is NO CURE for mouth and throat cancer. The ONLY answer is to either DIE from it, or have your jaw and part of your face amputated.

What, did they "forget" to tell you this when you took your first drag?

At 17, you CANNOT visit a doctor or dentist WITHOUT YOUR PARENTS KNOWLEDGE. You are a MINOR. It is not YOUR insurance, it is THEIRS, with you as a beneficiary.

Who gives a damn? GET YOUR A$$ INTO THE DOCTOR NOW!! Admit that you have been smoking and take your punishment. Whatever you parents do to you will be a LOT LESS PAINFUL than what the cancer will do. Get checked while you've still got a mouth left to kiss your girlfriend.

  7. Moderate Somber - You are too young to have developed mouth cancer. Likely some sort of infection. Smoking increases the chances of cancer, quitting is always good because it decreases the chances of cancer. Quit now, while you are still young and give yourself chance to live.
