Hplc Tissue Sample? And Ir Tissue Sample?

396545384 How do I prepare a tissue sample for HPLC and IR???

High performance liquid chromatography – HPLC - is a powerful tool in analysis and is basically a highly improved form of column chromatography. Instead of a solvent being allowed to drip through a column under gravity, it is forced through under high pressures of up to 400 atmospheres, making it much faster. Confusingly, there are two variants in use in HPLC depending on the relative polarity of the solvent and the stationary phase, they are the Normal phase and the Reversed phase. The reversed phase HPLC is the most commonly used form of HPLC. I presume by “IR” you refer to Fourier Transform InfraRed, which is the preferred method of infrared spectroscopy. In infrared spectroscopy, IR radiation is passed through a sample. Some of the infrared radiation is absorbed by the sample and some of it is passed through (this is termed as - transmitted). The resulting spectrum represents the molecular absorption and transmission, creating a molecular fingerprint of the sample. The space allowed for an answer in this forum does not allow for a complete tutorial of these two/possibly three procedures and I must refer you to your tutor or the books that you have on this subject. I regret that I am unable to discuss this in greater detail.
