Help, I'm Fifteen And I Might Have Breast Cancer?

396545116 So for the past two years I've had these light pink bruises on the outer sides of my breasts that are so sort of bumpy feeling. I also have always had lumpy breasts and it always feels like bruises when I press on them. My great grandmother died of breast cancer. Could I have it?

  1. Corey - It's incredibly unlikely that you have it. Lumps in your breasts are normal, when you self-exam for breast cancer, you're looking for unusual lumps... this means that you are looking for lumps that haven't been there normally.

At your age, I would seriously not worry much. If you're still concerned, I would just ask your female doctor next time you have a check up (or your general doctor if you don't have a set OBGYN yet).

Really... don't worry. The chances of you having breast cancer are TINY! If you're worried, get double checked next time you go to the doc, but don't let yourself worry so much.

  2. Carolina - all I can say is that dont live your life worrying about cancer, is not worth it. Anybody can have it... from the ones who has family with cancer, till the ones who have never heard about it. But just know that when you feel emotionally healthy and mentally healthy youre 100% sure than youre body is healthy .. because its ALL RELATED. when youre fine, your cells are fine. Dont live worried...

  3. Meg - You don't have cancer. Lumpy breasts are normal, especially in girls your age, you are still developing. You are too young and light pink bruises are not a sign of breast cancer and neither is pain.
