  1. Layla - It sounds to me as though you are a healthy weight so i wouldn't get to conscious about that. It is perfectly normal to plan a head what you are going to eat in a day and counting calories is becoming more frequent in today's society. So long as the thoughts of food, calories and body shape isn't on your mind 24/7 I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe to be safe you could share your concern with someone you trust so they can help reassure you.

  2. Christine Frydas - You are quite thin but not anorexically thin. Your body is still growing. If you don't eat properly then you will not grow enough in height (although you have a good height however). Why do you want to go on a diet? With this way of thinking you are tending towards anorexia, so stop it and eat up all of your food (if you eat healthily and no junk food, there's no worry)

These are the symptoms of anorexia:

    * hesitating to eat meal or making different excuses

    * preparing meals or collecting recipes for other member of your family but ignoring to eat such food
*Refuse to eat sugar or fat related food

    * Regularly checking her face in mirror and complaining “ I am looking ugly”

    * dividing her food in small pieces and trying to re-arrange

    * showing interest in exercise even in tired, ill or busy condition.

    * facing problem in menstrual cycles

    * dehydration, obstruction, slowly loosing bone calcium

If you have several of these symptons, there could be a chance you do have it.

You're at the perfect weight for your height, and I do not think you shoudl lose weight. I can't tell whether you are become/are anorexic from this...but you do seem obsessed with weight and what you're eating.

  4. Pro ana - Well, anorexia doesn't just happen over the course of a few days. Over quite a long period of time it goes from worrying about weight, to dieting, to full blown anorexia.

You are not overweight and do not need to lose anything. Many people with eating disorders feel they are too fat even if they are healthy. So that is a sign you may be entering the early stages of anorexia/bulimia.

Obsessing over caloric intake and dieting are also something anorexics do, so that is another early warning sign. I have an eating disorder and I always aim for 700 or less calories a day, but I mostly stay under 500.

Keep in mind that as you get older your body changes (you probably knew that) and your weight will fluctuate a lot. Some days it will be up, other it will be down. And also, many teenagers worry about appearance and being healthy and slim. It is normal, and does not mean you will for a fact have an eating disorder. But it is good you are worrying about developing a serious illness (or a lifestyle choice I like to say) and know when you may be going to far. If you are having body image issues talk to some, anyone. A friend, parent, teacher, anyone! Tell them you are feeling insecure or that you are worrying about your eating habits. Stopping these behaviors now before it is too late is a good idea. Hope I helped (:
