Will Working Out Eliminate Pectus Carnatum?

396545385 Well I'm thirteen and I noticed that my chest pops out. It's weird for me considering other people don't have it. So I did some research and came across Pectus Carnatum, which now I know for sure is what I have. So if I work out and get bigger pecs, would that give my bones more space to grow and let my heart and lungs to function optimally? Or is the only option a brace or surgery? Please help!!

  1. Stephen - If you actually do have this, working out will not change it. If your muscles got big enough, it could hide it... but at your age body building can be damaging to development. You should go see a doctor, you probably dont even have it, but if you do, the earlier you get to it the better, as at 13 you still have room to grow, and this opens up more options in treatment.
