Ok , I am immature 13 years old boy . I have been a year , I feel tired and dizzy all the time , as if am in a dream , I always hungry . I get increase in wight very fast . my vision became a bit blurred , I get bad headaches , yeast infections in my leg , My neck color is different from my body's (black) and I never feel happy :( always dizzy and sadly , sometimes even I talk without thinking .Monday, October 24, 2011
Something Wrong In Me ! Is It Diabetes ?
Ok , I am immature 13 years old boy . I have been a year , I feel tired and dizzy all the time , as if am in a dream , I always hungry . Nana Lamb - first off most of your symptoms are those of typical junior teen boy!!! that will pass with time, hopefully, and you will get better.
ReplyDeleteBut I am concerned with your neck color, this is definitely an indication of diabetes. That is the one symptom that is never wrong.
have your parent or guardian get you an appointment with an Endocrinologist as soon as possible.
formerly_bob - You should talk to you parents about seeing a doctor. The black ring on the neck (Acanthosis nigricans) is usually caused by diabetes (its an almost certain sign of diabetes), but it can also occur in people without diabetes that are obese. Many of the other symptoms also point to diabetes.
ReplyDeleteNoccie - It all that has been going on for a year then it's not diabetes. Untreated diabetes symptoms would be far more dramatic after a year. I don' t think you have any chronic disease because most of what you described is typical for someone your age. Have you tried washing your neck with rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball? It may simply be there from not washing the area well enough. Untreated diabetes causes weight loss not gain.
