  1. Freddy - Blood sugar levels rising. I shake all the time but it is more noticeable when I eat. It is probably nothing to worry about.

The best thing to do is talk to them about it rather than worry. People have looked at me really strangely when I shake but usually ask me why I'm shaking, then I just tell them that I always shake.

I'm 21 and have done it for as long as I can remember. It doesn't affect my life at all and I don't even notice it.

  3. syl c. - What he is experiencing is hypoglycemia or low blood sugar. If you are a diabetic, then you should monitor these episodes by testing your blood sugar. If you are low, then you need to raise your blood sugar slowly and smartly. Your friend is either not eating enough or skipping meals causing his blood sugar to drop. This can be a dangerous situation if it continues and become severe.

Your friend needs to eat six or seven small meals throughout the day low carband test his blood glucose before and after eating to see if his glucose is abnormal or if any of these foods are adversely affecting him. He needs to avoid sugar, if possible, try arificial sweetners if he has to have something sweet. If these episodes continue he needs to see his doctor and obtain a simple blood glucose test and also an oral glucose test in which he drinks a sugary drink in order to see how his body handles alot of sugar. This tests can help determine if he is hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) or prediabetic (77-99 fasting, 140 mg/dl 2 hours after meals) depending on the blood glucose levels.. Low blood sugar is 70 mg/dl and below.

    Hope this helps.
