Seem to have a very healthy thirst for adventure and outgoing attitude towards life than people who don't have or did not have cancer.I find it odd, because these people (even before they discover cancer) they are life hungry and fun.
I like population control, but I do admit it's very unfortunate we lose people with such adventurous and excellent drive...The world would be more fortunate if such people lived

ReplyDeleteSharon - Everyone I know with cancer know they have a lot to loose and what it is doing to our families. We can either sit around feeling sorry for ourselves, or try to make it easier for those around us. It is no ones fault we have cancer, so why make others miserable with our bad luck. When I'm told by people that I am the bravest and strongest person they know, I feel uncomfortable. I'm not. I'm just doing my thing. I'm a coper. I try to make the best of the situation.
ReplyDeleteWe're no different than other people. I think most people would find they have the same strength if they were in our place. We are much stronger than we think. Some of us just have to find out the hard way. I've never considered myself adventurous or outgoing, but I've always had a sense of humor. There is no cancer in my family. Everyone died before 65 from heart disease, so we've always taken steps to protect against that. When I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian, the first thing I did was look up to God and ask if He was kidding me.
I find I am much more tolerant about a lot of things, except when I'm behind the wheel of my car. The air still turns blue when I'm in traffic. I am still totally intolerant of certain things and will go off on bullies, rudeness and doofuses spouting off about things they know nothing about. Otherwise, I'm the same person I've always been.
