How Long Does Carpet/dust Allergy Reaction Last?

396545383 Lately Ive been experiencing lots of allergy symptoms (swollen lip, sinus pressure etc..), I thought there is a good chance my carpet was causing the issues, so I had the carpet ripped out a few days ago. Now a few days later the symptoms are kinda getting better, but they are still not completely gone. My question is how long do the allergens stay in the body, and how long can the reactions last? Thanks.

  1. Corina - give it a good week or 2 really..... If no better it maybe a food allergy.... elimination of 1 food group at a time is the best. good luck

  2. Ken G - The allergy caused by dusty carpets most probably is mold that is living on the dust and using the dust as food. Mold flourishes when the humidity is above 45%. So also do dust mites.

That's a lot of junk in the air to contend with I'd buy an air filter for the room.
