  1. Just Tom - Chances are, If your acne is bad it won't go away in a month. First you have to know that by just washing your face day and night, your acne won't clear. If your stressed, don't get enough sleep, eat unhealthy foods/drinks then you are more likely to develop or keep your acne. So if any of those apply to you then work on improving them :]

  2. sarah m - From what I know ...

Try Ivory bar soap (its parfume free), soaps with parfume/scents can actually cause acne and allergic reations...
Probiotics !!! Put good cells into your body to replace the bad
To be honest, that Proactive helps my skin ALOT!! It was so amazing, I highly recommend it, the only issue was dry skin (if so, choose a perfume FREE lotion for your face)
Not sure about scars sorry, but check out a health food store and ask an employee.
Completely eliminate sugar!! and even wheat if you can, and fats/oils.
If you workout or sweat alot, shower and.or wash your face so the dirt.sweat doesnt go back into your skin causing more acne.
stress and hormones also increase this and is almost impossbile to get around, specially the ages when your still in school.

Try proactive, It was a godsend for me.

  3. Laura - Tanning helps to kill bacteria and reduces the size of a pimple. Its has been proven to be effective. I have customers that have prom or a wedding to go to and they come just to clear up there acne. And it works. Its won't be 100% gone but it will help reduce it and make it look not as noticeable. Good luck :)

  4. dusty - Proactiv Solution works really well.

You can also use baking soda as a facial scrub and follow up with stridex pads.

If things are really bad and nothing else works, you may need to see a dermatologist for prescription treatment.
