I was eating food and somehow I ended up biting my lower lip and the next day I ended up getting this clear bubble on the bottom of my lower lip. This was a few days ago. When I got this I thought it would go away the next day. But it's been about 3-4 days. It REALLY hurts, especially when i'm trying to eat. Is there any way you could get rid of it? :/
MiaVitaBella - warm salt water gargles and swishing
ReplyDeleteEndless - the bubble you had is called "mucocele" it is formed due to rupture of salivary canals and escape of saliva underneath the skin, the clear color you see is a thin layer of lip surface covering saliva, it may be a little reddish if blood is present..
ReplyDeleteit needs no treatment, it will resolve or rupture in a matter of 2 weeks, it can be a little uncomfortable while eating, but that's all..
if you are too uncomfortable about it, it can be surgically removed by a dentist, you will be numbed and you won't feel it, but i recommend you to leave it alone since it is self-treatable
